Satisfactory (S) Result:
The student’s submitted work meets the learning requirements and all competency standards for the unit, in accordance with the National Register.
Not Yet Satisfactory (NYS) Result:
The student’s submitted work does not demonstrate full understanding of all competency standards for the unit. If a student receives a Not Yet Satisfactory outcome, they will receive written feedback from a trainer/assessor, clearly outlining the gaps. The student must then address these gaps and resubmit their assessment for evaluation.
Once a student achieves a Satisfactory result for all required assessment tasks, a Competent (C) outcome will be awarded for the entire unit. The student must demonstrate understanding of all competency standards in each unit before a Competent outcome is granted.
These competencies are drawn from the nationally recognised Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package (SIT). Upon successful completion of the training and assessment, you will be awarded the SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management.
Along with your qualification certificate, a Record of Results (sometimes referred to as a transcript) listing all completed units of competency will also be provided. Both the qualification and the units of competency are nationally recognised, giving you a credential that is valid and respected throughout Australia.
GTA will issue your qualification within 30 days of completing the final assessment.
Applicants may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for skills and knowledge relevant to the units of competency in this program. These skills and knowledge may have been gained through workplace training, professional experience, or other formal and informal learning, and can potentially reduce the number of units required to complete the program.
Students are encouraged to inform GTA of their interest in applying for RPL before enrolment. A pre-training review questionnaire will be provided to gather information about your prior experience. This information helps us determine the most suitable pathway for you to achieve competency.
